Repeat Medication & Prescriptions

Repeat medication can be ordered easily in the following ways:

  • Recommended method - Using the NHS App  Order medication at any time, from anywhere, without waiting for the surgery to open or waiting in phone queues. It enables you to track prescription status in real-time, and select a convenient pharmacy, saving time and reducing pressure on NHS services (Guide to order your repeat prescription);
  • Emailing your request to our dedicated Prescription request mailbox somicb.listerhouseprescriptionqueries@nhs.net with your full name and address, date of birth, and the medications you require; or
  • Calling the prescription line on 01984 623471 between 10am-12pm Mon -Fri (excluding bank holidays)

Dispensing Patients

For patients that live more than 1 mile from a pharmacy we can offer a dispensing service. This means you can collect your medication from the surgery.

The Dispensary is open daily 8.30am -1pm and 3pm – 6pm. Please note, you will not be able to collect prescriptions outside of these opening hours.

Wivey Link

Within the Wiveliscombe area, Wivey Link is available to residents with no access to transport to support them with everyday tasks.

We are aware that some patients utilise Wivey Link for help obtaining their prescriptions. For this service, Wivey Link has both an agreement with the surgery, but also with the patient directly who is requesting this support from them.

Patients who use this service recognise that the service is run externally to the surgery and have provided consent to Wivey Link to support them with their individual requirements.

For more information regarding Wivey Link, please see: Wivey Link Community Transport - Wiveliscombe Area Partnership

We aim to provide a repeat prescription within 7 working days. This time is required to process your repeat prescription request, re-issue, verify and to be review and signed by your doctor.

Please order in a reasonable time and do not expect to collect a prescription the same day that you order it. You can also help us by only requesting your usual supply of medications when required.

Whichever way you order your repeat medication, we can arrange for your prescription to be sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice to be collected at a time convenient to you.

We will make sure suitable provision is made for people self-isolating owing to illness or being in at risk groups.
